The use of off-line bricklaying methods for roasting fire walls and automatic combustion technology for roasters to optimize the prebaked anode roasting curve and lower the anode natural gas consumption the goal of. The main processes include the pre-baking anode baking furnace automatic combustion system, seven-chamber roasting and energy-saving new technology, a new type of off-line masonry method for the firing wall of the roasting furnace, and energy-saving facilities and equipment.

3. Application case

In 2014, Sathorn's new 280,000-ton new ring-type roaster energy-saving system technology transformation project was provided by Sawtong Development Co., Ltd. The project investment was 11.457 million yuan and the construction period was one year. After the completion of the transformation, the anode natural gas consumption dropped from 72.5m3/t to 60.8m3/t, reducing the consumption of natural gas by 3.323 million m3/a, realizing an energy saving of 3920.9tce/a, and reducing the emission of CO2 by 9802.3t/a.

4. Promotion prospects and energy saving and emission reduction potential in the next five years

It is estimated that in the next five years, the proportion of this technology promotion in the prebaked anode production industry can reach 20%, with a production capacity of about 4 million tons, which can result in an energy saving of 51,700 tce/a and a reduction in CO2 emissions of 127,400 t/a.
