First, there is a lot of room for growth in the electrical appliance sector. Although Gome's sales have declined before, it has advantages. The second is the broad market for all categories. Gome retail has expanded from electrical appliances to all categories, and online and offline empowerment is an improvement from zero, and the total market is huge.

He mentioned that after the restructuring of the business model, the scale of operations will be rapidly expanded. "Many colleagues have walked this road. Although we have lost time and opportunities, we have also learned a lot of experience. Gome Retail has carried out comprehensive integration and optimization from the perspective of the entire supply chain and retail users, especially in terms of costs. Gome has a lot of preparations. After several months of research and integration, the feasibility of the new model has been verified, and the probability and speed of success will be better than those of its peers."

At the same time, Gome Retail announced that in the next 18 months, it plans to develop offline stores in a grid-based manner with franchise as the main and self-support method. The number will exceed 3,000 from today to 6,000, and the monthly life will reach more than 100 million. , The target of the supply chain system reaches 200 billion.

In addition, according to the introduction of Gome’s CFO Fang Wei, in addition to electrical appliances, Gome will form 6 categories including food and beverages, clothing, shoes and bags, household daily use, maternal and child toys, and beauty and personal care. Services, forming a large-scale procurement platform for all categories. It is expected that within 18 months, the SKU of home appliances will be expanded from 3W to 10W and non-home appliances to 40W, and the goal of reaching 500,000 SKUs will be accelerated.

According to Gome’s financial report, the company’s 2020 sales revenue was approximately 44.119 billion yuan, a year-on-year decrease of 25.83%; the loss attributable to owners of the parent company was 6.994 billion yuan.
