How to properly apply green manure?

(1) Harvest or turn over at the right time. The green manure has a low premature tumbling yield, the plant is too young, the decomposition is too fast after pressing, and the fertilizer effect is short; the overpressure is too late, the green manure plant is aging, the nutrient is transferred to the seed, the stem and leaf nutrient content is low, and the stem The leaf carbon to nitrogen ratio is large, and it is not easy to decompose in the soil, reducing the fertilizer efficiency. The suitable turning time of the leguminous green manure plants is from full bloom to Xiehua period; the gramineous green manure plants are best to be rolled at the heading stage, and the cruciferous green manure plants are best in the upper flowering and lower pod stage. The period of overturning of intercropping and intercropping green manure crops should be consistent with the fertilizer requirements of the post-crop crops.
(2) The method of turning over: first cut the green manure stems into 10-20 cm long, then sprinkle them on the ground or apply them in the ditch, then plow them into the soil, usually 10-20 cm deep, and the sandy soil can be deep. Some, sticky soil can be shallower.
(3) The amount of green manure applied. It should be based on the type of green manure, the climatic characteristics, the soil fertility and the need for nutrients in the crop. Generally, 1000-1500 kg of fresh seedlings can basically meet the needs of crops, and the application rate is too large, which may cause late crops and late maturity.
(4) Comprehensive utilization of green manure. The leguminous green manure is indeed a good stem and leaf, most of which can be used as a good feed for livestock, and one-fourth of the nitrogen is absorbed and utilized by livestock. The remaining 3/4 of the nitrogen is excreted through the excrement and becomes a good manure. . Therefore, the use of green manure to feed livestock first, and then use manure fertilizer field, is a good way to use green manure economically and effectively.
