In order to obtain high-performance refractory products, most of the mineral raw materials used in the modern materials industry require rich selection and processing, and the first step in the beneficiation process is to break the coarse ore into small particles. In this process of crushing, the propagation of cracks is of great importance. However, the detailed process of the cracks penetrating the rock has not yet been thoroughly studied. The main difficulty lies in the inability to describe the crack structure and the crack propagation mode. In industry, jaw crushers, ball mills and other equipment are used for closed circuit circulation to achieve the crushing processing of mineral raw materials. Quality feedback control is performed by inspecting the composition of the ball mill products, adjusting the grinding and feeding speeds to realize the grinding circuit. The feedback control, this control method has a big drawback, that is easy to cause over-grinding, produce unnecessary particles and waste a lot of energy, such as has been calculated that the energy utilization rate of the process is insufficient. Therefore, we hope to use feed-forward control, that is, to check the required grinding time and the size distribution of the products after grinding by checking the broken raw materials, thereby controlling the grinding process and reducing energy consumption.

On this issue, there have been many studies on concrete with different properties, and it has been found that many empirically determined particle size distributions are fractal systems. Therefore, during the furnish of the refractory materials, the experience of the ingredients of the concrete can be used as reference to determine the particle ratio of the fractal gradation, which will help improve the performance of the material. It can be seen that the asbestos fiber surface (dust surface) property of the fractal structure is related to the carcinogenic effect and causes more damage. Therefore, in the prevention and treatment of occupational diseases in the refractory industry, research on fractal particles should be strengthened.
