China's foreign trade continued to decline, import and export fell by 23.5% year-on-year

According to data released by the National Bureau of Statistics on July 16, foreign trade continued to fall sharply and the trade surplus decreased slightly. In the first half of the year, the total volume of imports and exports was US$946.1 billion, a year-on-year decrease of 23.5%. Among them, exports were 521.5 billion US dollars, down 21.8%; imports were 424.6 billion US dollars, down 25.4%. The trade surplus was US$96.9 billion, a year-on-year decrease of US$2.1 billion.
