The Lubrizol Corporation announces that its engineering polymer business will participate in the 51st annual NW Materials Show (Portland International Leather Shoes Show). The show will take place August 15-16, 2018 at the Oregon Convention Center in Portland, Oregon.

Estane TRX TPU is an innovative polymer designed to replace the use of rubber in outdoor, sports and work footwear outsole. This new material offers significant benefits to consumers, designers and producers, addressing the growing interest in traditional rubber alternatives. Traditional rubber labor and energy intensive, requiring multi-process production processes, and high scrap rate. The Estane TRX TPU combines the advantages of rubber traction with improved processing through thermoplastic injection molding. In addition, Estane TRX TPU has better wear resistance and clarity than rubber compounds.

In addition, there is a solvent-free Pearlbond TPU solution for hot melt adhesives on component parts, footwear components based on renewable energy TPU, and uppers with Esdex TPU.
