According to reports, European Carbodeon has been granted US patents for the combination of explosive synthesis of nano-diamond particles with polymers for personal electronics, LED lighting, automotive and machine tool applications. As we all know, diamond is the hardest natural mineral in the world and one of the most thermally conductive materials. Therefore, when nanodiamond and thermoplastic polymer are mixed in a controlled amount, they can make the plastic material conduct heat at a predetermined rate and have High wear resistance.
Nano-diamond injection polymers provide thermal conductivity advantages for mobile lighting products such as LED lighting products and mobile phones, while the Internet of Things makes any type of device possible. Wear resistance means it can also be used in aerospace and automotive applications to ensure longer product life in hard wear environments.
The nanodiamond technology developed by Carbodeon containing thermoplastic composites has been authorized by US Patent No. 9057273. As early as 2012-2013, Carbodeon found that the thermal conductivity of thermoplastic materials can be significantly enhanced by increasing the relatively small batch of nanodiamonds, and the patent was filed.
