Russian Engineering Corps will soon install new protective clothing “隼”

According to the website of the Ministry of Defense of Russia, the Russian engineering detachment will soon install new types of protective protective clothing for engineers.

Major General Yuri Stavitsky, commander of the Russian Armed Forces Corps of Engineers, revealed that the engineering battalion tasked with the cleanup of explosives in Chechnya and Ingushetia will be the first to equip this type of protective clothing.
With a total weight of only 8.5 kilograms, it allows engineers to wear it for continuous demining for a whole day. In comparison, the 40-kilogram Russian active Dubrone protective clothing was bloated. “隼” is also very good protection, in addition to effective defense against all types of shrapnel, but also enough to withstand the speed of 550 meters / second pistol bullets attack.

Stavsky said that, unlike Dubrun's steel materials, the "Bang" bulletproof panels are made of lightweight, solid polyethylene materials that allow engineers to effectively evade metal-sensing bombs. Because of its lightness, it can also be used as a "mix and match" with other military uniforms.

“隼” can be used normally in the temperature range of minus 40 to minus 50 degrees, and is not affected by rain and snow weather.
