Five types of fertilizers are not suitable for seed fertilizer

Fertilizers with a corrosive effect on ammonium bicarbonate, ammonia, etc., are volatile and corrosive, easy to smear seeds and seedlings, superphosphate containing free sulfuric acid and phosphoric acid, causing damage to seed germination and seedling growth, generally not suitable Do the seed fertilizer. This type of fertilizer should be applied during tillage, or applied to the lower layer of the seeding ditch, not in direct contact with the seed, or mixed with soil and fertilizer.

Fertilizer urea, which is toxic to seeds, produces a small amount of biuret in the process of granulation. If the content of biuret exceeds 2%, it will cause toxicity to seeds and seedlings. In addition, urea molecules with high nitrogen content penetrate into the protein molecules of the seed, denature the protein, and poison the seed germination and radicle. If it is really necessary to use urea as a seed fertilizer, it must be kept under the conditions of ankle and should be isolated from the seed, strictly controlled to no more than 5 kg per acre, mixed with fine soil, and sprinkled 2 to 3 cm below the seed.

Fertilizers containing harmful ions Potassium chloride, ammonium chloride and other chemical fertilizers contain chloride ions, which will produce water-soluble chlorides when applied to the soil, which is detrimental to seed germination and seedling growth, even burning seedlings; ammonium nitrate, potassium nitrate and other fertilizers Containing nitrate ions, it has a toxic effect on seed germination.

Strong alkaline fertilizers Strong alkaline fertilizers include kiln ash potassium fertilizer and steel slag phosphate fertilizer. The kiln ash potassium fertilizer contains more calcium and has strong water absorption. After absorbing water, it releases a lot of heat, and it is easy to burn out seeds and radicles. When it is necessary to be used as a seed fertilizer, it must be thoroughly mixed with organic fertilizers higher than 10 times, and applied to the lower layer of the seeding ditch (cavity). Do not directly contact the seeds, and pay attention to covering the soil immediately after sowing to prevent damage.

Unfertilized manure and manure are not used as raw fertilizer for manure. Because fertilizer releases a lot of heat during the fermentation process, it is not only easy to cause root burning, but also releases ammonia to burn the seedlings. Farm manure and other farmyard manures must be fermented at high temperature and fully fermented before they can be used as seed fertilizers.
