According to foreign media reports, the European Union recently issued the new 2010 standard EN ISO 23125:2010 Machine tools–Safety–Turning Machines, which is applicable to turning machine tools and will be enforced in November 2010. The replacement is divided into four different types of lathe standards.
In short, since November 2010, all turning machine tools need to comply with the EN ISO 23125 standard. This action in the EU will reconcile the four standard lathe standards that were originally scattered with international standards, in order to facilitate the marketing of the EU and Worldwide, it is necessary to update the current on-site manufacturing specifications, declarations and certificates for lathes to the latest standards.
The new standard has the following provisions:
1. Classification and usage specifications of the model.
2. The category requirements for safety-related control functions mentioned in the old version of the standard have been superseded by the Performance Level (PLr). The EN ISO 13849-1 standard will replace EN 954-1 in 2012.
3. The new version of the standard for the work of the main and sub-spindle exchange, broach part and so on are required.
In addition, there are new regulations on the thickness, strength, protection of the iron scraper exit, and even the speed of rapid feed in manual mode.
